Random thoughts:

* To quote a colleague of mine--it's like a SPRING SURPRISE today! Temps in the 60s, clear blue sky. Of course it's going to get colder over the weekend, but it's a nice hint of what's to come. (I even noticed the banners on the lightposts today promoting the upcoming Cherry Blossom Festival!) Check out the earth cam HERE. It is a marked departure from last Sunday when I sat on the tarmac in a US Airways plane watching the snow and sleet fall for FOUR hours waiting to take-off for Palm Beach. Good times.

* It was a nice visit to Florida to see "the girls." I was glad to be there to support my mom while my gram is recuperating from her hip surgery. Both are hanging in there, but it's tough. Thank goodness Aunt K will be there next week to keep their spirits up. Keep the prayers comin'.

Boynton Beach, FL

* When we weren't hanging out with Gram at her rehab facility--mom and I did manage to get in a few swims at the pool and enjoy a nice lunch at a neat place called Old Calypso on the intercoastal waterway in Delray Beach.

* Saw Bush was in NOLA yesterday for a tour of the city. He said recovery efforts there have been "too slow." You don't f&*^%$in' say.
