Update: No squirrels today in the attack, thank Cher. (That's a shout out to my gay boyfriends...)

Got several recommendations for a company in tony Bethesda that could help "relocate" the critters, should it come to that. (And I do mean relocate---they trap them (in a humane way, course) and then take them to some forest or something.) If this were the deep South, the squirrels would either be killed or become an entree at a local restaurant. In uber-liberal Montgomery County, Maryland--they are trapped in "Hav-a-Heart traps" and "relocated."

Apparently this was the company that helped "relocate" those beavers who were chomping down 200 year old Cherry Trees in the Tidal Basin some years back. (At the time I advocated taking a lawn dart to them.)
