The girl introduced me to one of her favorite cartoons yesterday: Jem. Never heard of her. It's clearly an early 80s phenomenon, with the crazy outfits and hair. (Think leggings and scrunchies and really bad make-up and earrings.) Jem apparently is some rock singer and her band is called the "Holograms." It is absolutely HI-LARIOUS. She rented some of the episodes from NetFlix just to show me. All I could think about was how much my gay boyfriends would like it.
