27 December 2005

Back home in the "Sprung" after our quick jaunt to Syracuse. In between visting and shopping and eating, my partner and I would occasionally wonder aloud how our cat, Ellie -- who was home alone -- was doing. We put her in our guest room with her box, plenty of food and water, and all her various cat toys. (She's been known to show her "displeasure" (if you catch my drift) when we leave with the entire house to herself. So -- thinking we'd outsmarted the cat -- put about a 3 pound de-humidifier in front of the door so she wouldn't escape. Well, we come home after our flight and there's Ellie -- pretty as you please -- waiting for us by the kitchen door. Our Christmas tree is still standing and we haven't found any evidence of (uh hem) "extraneous activities" around the house. Keep your fingers crossed.
